Welcome to Northern Penobscot Tech’s exciting Law Enforcement program! This two-year journey combines classroom learning with hands-on experience, offering you a unique opportunity to explore the world of criminal justice and Forensic Science.
Hands-On Training
Maine, like other states in the U.S., maintains a set of criminal justice standards to ensure the fair and effective administration of law enforcement. The topics covered, officer training, ethical conduct, firearms safety, responding to an active shooter, and operational procedures.
Throughout the program, you will have the chance to work with industry-standard equipment, including crime scene photography gear, evidence collection kits, and forensic laboratory instruments. You will learn to dust for and lift fingerprints, analyze blood splatter patterns, and examine trace evidence using microscopes.
This program is designed to provide you with a solid foundation for a future career in law enforcement or forensic science, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to make a difference in your community and beyond.

Industry-Relevant Curriculum
